STUDENT HANDBOOK
The student handbook outlines all the rules and regulations that help Laurier Academy keep a safe and appropriate learning environment for everyone.
All students will receive one on the first day of school every school year.
Some basic rules we uphold at Laurier Academy are:
โข No cheating on tests, quizzes, or homework. If caught, the student will receive a 0 for that assignment.
โข If a student is found to be guilty of bribery, depending on the seriousness of the crime, will be permanently suspended or receive a 0 in the assignment.
โข All students must wear their uniform during school hours. Students are welcome to wear their own clothing after school on campus.
โข Curfew is at 11 PM, all students must report back to their dorms by then. No boys are allowed in the girl's dormitory area; girls are also not allowed in the boy's dorm area.

Staff
We provide our students with top choreographers such as May J Lee and Lia Kim, and other dance trainers such as Bada Lee and Rie Hata make many guest appearances at Laurier Academy for both Idol and Dance departments.
Baek SoHee, Jang Wook, and Seohyun Kim are a few vocal trainers who teach at Laurier Academy.
Our instructors in all our departments ensure that our students are excelling and striving to be the best they can be.

Winners of all three of these rewards are also known as โSwansโ
Swan's Lake
Swan's Lake is Laurier Academy's hall of fame for students who have received the Bevy Award, the Silver Bank Award, and the Highlier Award. Only the most charismatic and talented students win all three of these awards at the same time.
The Bevy Award is the most popular student in the school; only global votes count. The Silver Bank Award is the most popular student in the school; only votes from students at Laurier count. The Highlier Award is given to the most talented student; only professorsโ votes count.
Park Sooyoung, also known as 'Joy' of Red Velvet, Lee Taeyong of NCT U and NCT 127, and Park Jihyo of TWICE have all received this award.

Honors Program
The honors program allows students who learn faster than others to receive more complex and in-depth content that would be harder for regular students to comprehend.
Honors classes are available for all classes, including K-Idol and J-Idol department-specific classes.
Students should make sure that they balance the workload from honors classes with regular classes.
AP Program
The AP program allows students to take college-level classes in high school. AP classes are the hardest kind of class a student can take. These classes are available for all academic classes, but may not be available for all department-related classes, specifically K-Idol and J-Idol department classes.
For K-Idol and J-Idol specific classes, some dance and vocal classes are available at AP level.

Laurier Scholarship
The Laurier Scholarship celebrates passion, dedication, and the pursuit of knowledge. Open to students from all disciplines, the scholarship offers financial assistance to those who exhibit a commitment to personal growth, community engagement, and a thirst for learning. The five winning students will earn $15,000, Laurier students who have won this scholarship will earn $20,000.
